American Radiator by Bertrand Benoit
CGvray presents this incredible work included in our “Principal Studies of Archiviz”, where only the best studies of 3D design in architecture are shown, an own project of Bertrand Benoit.
This exceptional project entitled “American Radiator” an architectural representation in the Huhg Ferriss style combined with monochromatism, high contrast, chiaroscuro of the industrial era and realism in a realistic and abstract hybrid set.
The project took place at the American Radiator Building (or American Standard Building) on 40th Street overlooking Bryant Park.
A modeling with a realistic approach but with incredible light bulbs that capture the visual attention of the viewer.
Bertrand Benoit used 3ds Max for modeling (with great help from Itoosoft RailClone to randomize windows) and V-Ray Next GPU to render. The subsequent work was done in the now disappeared ArionFX and Affinity Photo.
In the video it shows a rapid elaboration of test renders and a brief tour of the 3D scene.
An exceptional project by Bertrand Benoit, worth sharing.
Congratulations Bertrand Benoit for your excellent project.
